In a little over a week, the sixth edition of the Excellent Dressage Sales will kick off during the World Breeding Dressage Championships for Young Horses in Ermelo. It is the second time that the auction is organised in Ermelo in collaboration with and supported by KWPN. On Thursday August 3rd, the auction horses will be introduced in a presentation, on Saturday August 5th the auction takes place.
It promises to be a few busy days for the Oldenburg and Rheinland Westfalen approved stallion Barroso. He will make his appearance in the battle for the title of the seven-year-olds and he goes under the hammer in the EDS on Saturday. With the Belgian Larissa Pauluis the impressive stallion claimed three victories in the Belgian selection rounds, by which he effortlessly qualified himself for the World Breeding Dressage Championships for Young Horses.
In addition to his exceptional movement mechanism, Barroso is also a highly interesting stallion from a genetics point of view. The dam of Barroso is a daughter of the important thoroughbred Saros xx, who has done great things for the international dressage horse breeding. She is a keur and prestatie mare and foaled, besides Barroso, the Grand Prix-horse Sambuca (s.Democraat) of Christine Traurig and the national dressage horse Up To You (s.Gribaldi). Through his offspring, Barosso is also making a name for himself: multiple foals have obtained various high premiums at the inspections.
