Van Lierop Robin, NED, Finja

This morning the Intermediate I at the Longines FEI World Breeding Dressage Championships for Young Horses was ridden. Robin van Lierop failed to place himself for the final yesterday, but today he retaliated with his Finja (s.Flatley): with 71.009% he stayed ahead of all the other starts. The Dutch rider was clearly satisfied: “Today went a lot better than yesterday. Unfortunately, I made some small unnecessary mistakes then. Therefore, the pressure was on today, because I really wanted to show the qualities of this horse. I think we succeeded to improve greatly from yesterday, but I know she can do even better. Still, I am happy we could have our sportive vengeance. “

In place two, the combination Nicolas Wagner and the Hannoverian Quater Back Junior (Quaterback x Bonheur) represents Luxembourg. The pair scored 70.526%. They were followed by Wendy van den Diessen-Boogaard and the KWPN-bred Evanel’s Blackie W (Painted Black x Hofnar), the Dutch duo put a score of 67.851% on the score board.

Tonight, the CDI1* Freestyle to Music starts at 19.00hrs. Then yesterday’s ten best horses come back to compete for the title.
