The small final for the four-year-old dressage horses presented by Sport Pro Horses has just concluded at the LONGINES FEI/WBFSH Dressage World Breeding Championship for Young Horses. The Oldenburg-bred Quotengold OLD (Quantensprung 3 x Don Schurfro) of Heinz Ahlers secured the win.

The gelding was presented by Nele Lübbehusen and was granted an average score of 8.06 by the jury. His German rider was pleased with her youngster: “He felt great today and behaved very well. I am so happy with him; he did a fantastic job.”

Zaragon and Neverwinter G
In second place we saw the Westfalen horse Zaragon (Zoom x Just Perfect) of owner Norbert van Laak. The Spanish rider Esteban Ruiz led the bay gelding to a score of 8.0. The KWPN horse Neverwinter G (Expression x Houston) was presented by his owner Ingrid Gerritsen. The bay earned a 7.96 which translated to the third position

No final
Contrary to their colleagues participating in the WC, this top-three did not advance to tomorrow’s final. Two performances is more than sufficient for a mere four-year-old horse. For that reason, the final is composed of the ten highest ranked horses in the qualification.
