Next year the Longines FEI / WBFSH Dressage World Breeding Championships for Young Horses was scheduled at the National Equestrian Center in Ermelo from 26th to 29th of August. In 2020 the World Championships would be organized in Verden, Germany. Unfortunately, this had to be cancelled due to the COVID-19 restrictions.

Recently we received the request from the German FN, whether we would consider to let the 2021 World Championships for Young Dressage Horses to be organized in Verden, Germany. We understand the situation and support our fellow organizers and have therefore decided to inform the FEI that we agree for Germany to organize the 2021 World Championships for Young Dressage Horses.

The World Championships for Young Dressage Horses were supposed to be organized in the Netherlands for three consecutive years, from 2021 to 2023. Now that the 2021 is taking place in Verden, the FEI has given us the promise that in 2022, 2023 and 2024, again for three consecutive years, the World Championships for Young Dressage Horses are coming back to the Netherlands. In 2022, from 4th to 7th of August, the stables of the National Equestrian Center in Ermelo will be filled with the world’s best young dressage horses fighting for the titles.

It’s the end of the year. Despite the limitations, the organizers of the World Championships for Young Dressage Horses wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Pay attention to each other and stay safe!
