Though the weather was not quite optimal in the CDI1* Prix St. Georges this morning, this formed no obstacle for the eight-year-old Electra (s.Jazz). Lynne Maas took home the gold last month at the Dutch National Championships in the Small Tour and lived up to the expectations she created there.

The black KWPN-mare, bred by Heuvel/Bernoski and registered to her rider, received a score of 74.211% for her Prix St. George test. And that clearly put a smile on Lynne Maas’s face: “I am really happy. Recently we won the national title here and she sets another great performance here. The test felt really nice, we made no big mistakes and I was in control. Because of the rain, my reigns got a bit slippery so I had to pay attention she would stay near me. However, she was really focused and honestly, we had a very pleasant ride. I am already looking forward to the Freestyle to music.” The Swedish rider Jeanna Hogberg followed with the impressive Swedish warmblood gelding Fiorucci HT (s.Florencio I, f/g: Absolut Dental Ab). The gelding showed off his strong movements and firmly placed himself in the runner-up position with 73.465%. Marieke van der Putten was the third to enter the ring for the prize giving ceremony. She presented the black KWPN gelding Emporio MB (s.Armani).

The top 10 combinations qualified themselves for the Freestyle to music on Friday night, the other contestants will compete in the Intermediaire I test tomorrow morning.
