Willem-Alexanderhal (KWPN) – 19.00 – 20.30 hours (special ticket required)

Saturday August 3, the KWPN organises an English show ‘Selection for Performance’ in which spectators can take a peek behind the curtains of the KWPN centre. In this show, that starts at 19.00hrs in the Willem-Alexander-arena, various predicate stallions and several of their young approved offspring are presented. In addition, the audience meets some talented mares that scored remarkably well at their ability tests. Alex and Diederik van Silfhout give a clinic in which they demonstrate how they train young talents towards highest level. National team coach Alex van Silfhout can explain as no other the necessary qualities of a successful Grand Prix horse. Diederik, who was part of the golden 2015 European Championships-team and who represented the Dutch horse with Arlando in Rio, is saddling the emerging talent Impression (Don Schufro x Ferro). Earlier this year, this approved stallion won the silver medal in the fourth level class at the National Championships. In this insightful clinic, father and son elaborate on the main focal points and pitfalls of training a dressage horse. Afterwards, you have the opportunity to meet & greet the predicate stallions Vivaldi and Painted Black.
