Once sold as a three-year-old stallion in the number one KWPN auction, Blue Hors Zack, Glock’s Dream Boy and Hartsuijker found their way to the top via the KWPN Select Sale, but they are not the only ones who managed to impress on the world stage. How about the Olympic Flambeau? The Ampère son competed in his second Olympics last summer under Belgium’s Larissa Pauluis, after previously winning Belgian champion twice. The Belgian dressage team has been on a roll in recent years, and this summer, thanks to Flambeau’s fantastic performance, managed to secure a historic sixth place in the Team Final.
Auction topper Pride
Slightly younger, but certainly a stallion with a great future ahead of him is Secret son Pride. The absolute auction topper from two years ago showed a very good performance today at the Dressage World Breeding Young Hors Championships. Sold for 200,000 euros and now approved for several studbooks, the stallion of Sönke Rothenberger became sixth under Bart Veeze in a very strong field of competitors, scoring 82.600%.
Many Grand Prix stallion
Four Legends also managed to impress once in the ring at the World Young Dressage Horse Championships. He was designated for the KWPN performance test in 2015 after his good results at the World Championship for Young Dressage Horses in Verden and the Pavo Cup. At the 2016 auction, Four Legends was the absolute auction topper with 605,000 euros and is one of many Grand Prix horses of the KWPN Select Sale.
On primetime
This Saturday, September 7, at 1 p.m. in the afternoon, it is time for the very first KWPN Select Sale – World Championship Edition. At primetime and in the main arena of the World Championship for Young Dressage Horses, where these future superstars will surely make their appearance in a few years. Bidding is possible both live and online.
Best Dutch dressage foals
The collection consists of nine dressage horses and ten dressage foals. One of the three best fillies of the Netherlands, the number three of the National Foal Championships, the half-brother of the potential Olympic champion Imothep, a son of Olympic champion Glamourdale out of the full sister of Vamos Amigos, all fantastic foals.
