Matthias Alexander Rath secured the first victory in Ermelo today, where in addition to the FEI/Longines World Breeding Dressage Championships for Young Horses various CDI* classes are organised. With his Danone 4-offspring Danoenchen OLD (ds.Rohdiamant) he bested the competition, scoring 73.775% in the Prix St. Georges. The best 10 from this class place themselves for the Freestyle that will be ridden tomorrow night. The top 3 is completed by two Dutch riders. Mara de Vries steered her eight-year-old elite mare Farzana G (Ampère x Florencio) to 71.666%, obtaining a second place. Last year, the combination placed themselves for the finals of the seven-year-old class. Place three was claimed by Vai Bruntink and KWPN-mare Darabel, that scored 70.784%. Darabel is a daughter of the 2009 World Champion of the 6-year-olds Westpoint out of a Don Shufro-mare. This combination also competed amongst the six-year-olds at the World Breeding Dressage Championships for Young Horses of 2014.
