After yesterday’s victory in the Prix St. Georges, winner Matthias Alexander Rath and Danoenchen OLD (Danone 4 x Rohdiamant) placed himself with the rest of the top 10, for the Freestyle to Music tonight. However, Rath choose to compete in the Intermediaire I. In this test, the bay Oldenburger was once again unanimously positioned at place 1 by the judges, this time with the score of 74.460%.
“Normally, Danoenchen is ridden by my sister. I only borrowed him for the week. So, I thought a more technical test would be a safer choice than a freestyle to music. My sister competes at the Juniors this year and next year, hopefully she and Danoenchen can work their way up to Young Riders after this. I brought him here so that he can gain some experience. It is a super nice horse, but he has to go back to my sister after this week,” smiles Matthias Alexander Rath.
The numbers 2 and 3 were well-matched. Scoring 70.931%, place two was claimed by Kira Wulferding and the eight-year-old Bohemian Rhapsodie (Bellissimo M x De Niro), that recently won the selection for the Nürnberger Burg-Pokal at the Bonhomme Dressage Festival. Yesterday’s number two, Mara de Vries and the eight-year-old mare Farzana G (Ampère x Florencio) now had to settle for third place, following closely with 69.068%.
